Do I have to buy waterbed sheets for my new waterbed?
If you are purchasing a softside waterbed, then you can use the same sheets and bedding as you do for a traditional bed.
If you are purchasing a hardside waterbed, then you will need specialized sheets.
What is the difference between waterbed sheets and regular sheets?
The only real difference is the size of the sheets.
Hardside waterbeds need a bigger sized sheet, because you need to cover the entire waterbed mattress (bladder).
Softside waterbeds look just like a regular mattress, and come in the same sizes as do regular beds. You won't need bigger sheets for a softside waterbed.
The materials used for waterbed sheets are the same material that is used for regular sheets, no matter if it's a hardside or softside waterbed mattress.
