King Size Waterbeds

If you're unsure of what size waterbed to buy, a king size is a good choice.
A king size waterbed will give both you and your partner plenty of room. Many single people enjoy the king size because of the extra room it gives them.
King size waterbeds are available for both hardside and softside waterbeds.
You can buy a brand new king size waterbed system, or you can also purchase a king size waterbed replacement mattress without having to buy a whole new waterbed.

King Size Waterbed Mattress Dimensions
Hardside Waterbed King Size Mattress - 72" x 84"
Softside Waterbed King Size Mattress - 76" x 80" (the same size as a traditional mattress)

King Size Waterbed Types
You can get a waterbed in a wide variety of types or 'wave action'.
King size waterbed mattresses are available in free flow, semi-waveless, waveless, and super waveless. Semi-waveless includes 65%, 80%, 85% and 99% waveless mattresses.

Is a King Size Waterbed Too Heavy for my Bedroom?
Because of code considerations, normal homes are built supremely tough and stalwart. You need not worry about the weight of your waterbed for any part of your home.
A king size waterbed weighs less per square foot than a refrigerator does.
Because king size hardside waterbeds include wooden frames and headboards, their total weight is more than a king size softside waterbed.
A king size waterbed mattress weighs approximately 1800 pounds.
Generally, they hold around 235 gallons of water.

Do King Size Waterbeds Require Special Sheets?
Hardside waterbeds require specialized sheets because of their unique size and shape.
On the other hand, softside waterbeds do not require special sizes. Softside waterbeds are the same dimensions as a regular bed, and regular sheets will fit them just fine.

King size waterbeds require king sized padded rail caps.
They don't require larger waterbed heaters. Waterbed heaters are generally one size fits all, although softside waterbeds and hardside waterbeds do require different heaters.
All king size waterbed mattresses should use conditioner made specifically for waterbeds.
King size waterbeds should use the correct sized safety liner.
King size waterbeds require the correct sized frame.
